Little Chinatown - Kenner

My bff told me about this restaurant. I have been here twice and have been highly satisfied both times. I have tried many options here and all are good; from the soups to the noodles. Employees are attentive. Food is loaded with flavor and prices are reasonable. There are large tables if one is dining with a large party; gratuity is added to large parties. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The best in Kenner/ Metairie!

As shown on pictures my honey chicken was dark an my sesame was honey colored, but the bourbon was worst it was like dry and just bland , the spring roll was like from wholesale type of chain store it was just barely ok not nasty but kinda like eating boiled rice plan if you will, and I really try not to say bad things because I really try to support local businesses. The reason I went to eat here is because I had it about four or five years ago at the start of the pandemic and I remembered it was good but it was very basic very bland no appeal at all. However, the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere was very nice. Even the crab rangoon was so dried up very hollow

I feel I can’t judge the food, it’s normally pretty good, but we barely got ours. The system was down and I understand that happens, but it was like a restaurant of workers with their heads cut off. We had been there about an hour before the system even went down. I was there with my wife and son, who gets tired and bored and cranky, as he is less than 2. Everyone in the restaurant was getting impatient and rude and it wasn’t very enjoyable to watch and be present to witness. I asked at least 3 people to just check on the food with no response. Miserable service. It’s a shame because we loved this place, but sadly been one time too many. We ended up having to get our food to go, with a completely ruined night for all of us.

Was going to give two stars but apparently I gave this a better review previously. Not much was right about this visit. Asked for two teas and a water and we only got one tea which was dropped off quickly so we couldn't ask for the other tea, not a big deal. Ordered wonton soup which the broth had a seafood type taste, not too good, but it was quite a generous sized cup. Ordered egg rolls which were only okay and the sweet and sour sauce bright to the table was not really good. My wife ordered the honey chicken meal with rice and spring roll but got the honey chicken entree only. We told the lady that we ordered rice as part of the meal and she seemed to agree that she was going to bring it but it never came. We let that go. The honey chicken was okay but was a little different then what we are used to. We never saw the serving staff again to check on us or refill drinks. The next time we saw them was for the bill. At least the bill was correct for what actually came to our table but not what we ordered. I will only return to be social if others in our group want to come.

When my family comes into town, they love to come eat at Little Chinatown. The food menu is slightly more authentic chinese food. They have a variety of dishes. I have tried so many different dishes and all were very delicious. I like that they have the round table with lazy susan for a family style dining. Definitely worth the visit.
